What’s the difference between expats and immigrants? Can Americans get deported from countries? What even is Europe after being dumped by the UK? These global comedians are putting their lives (or at least their dignity) on the line to find out. 100% C*ntinental is a stand-up comedy mix show, unpacking the experiences of international women adjusting to life, love and paperwork via Google Translate. Find out if it's really true Italians are sexy, the Germans are humourless and what would happen if Emily went to Paris on minimum wage. “100% C*ntinental” premiered at EdFringe in 2023 and sol...

Have you ever failed to stand up for yourself? Do you wonder where comedians get their confidence? Do you secretly dream of being a Manifesting Babe? Opera singer and comedian Steph DePrez returns with a show about dreams, risks, and how exactly Americans learn how to be so… loud. After a successful run of shows at EdFringe 2023, Steph’s new musical comedy cabaret explores class, confidence, and what it takes to cut through the noise. Like last year’s well-reviewed show “The Opera Comedy Show,” Steph weaves her stories in between opera arias, Gospel hymns, and jazz standards “performed with...

This show is a mixed bag of treats. What flavour will you get today? Who knows, but the calories will absolutely count! 3 queer international comedians (Ann Vaida, Annick Adelle and Mari Volar) bring their WIP solo shows to Edinburgh and band together to make their solo debuts less harrowing. In their perspective work the 3 comedians aim to provide the following: Mari Volar is presenting the world with a feminist manifesto for all aspiring trophy wives. Ann Vaida invites you along to existing in a completely arbitrary sh*tstorm of a society, and other jokes. Annick Adelle o...

Teachers and students alike know the feeling all too well. Just get through this last History class, then it's time to let loose on school holidays. Ty has met some wild teachers in his time, and might be up there with the wildest. Trying to keep a facade of professionalism at school when you spend your spare time getting caught in dubious travel situations, waking up in gutters and hiding from students at music festivals is, funnily enough, a full-time job. An hour of stories and jokes from Ty's time as a teacher, both inside and outside of the classroom. "His internal dialogue and i...

Old Git (Jim Bryce) has had enough! Having inhabited his increasingly wizened body for 74 years, he is fed up wading through lies, muddle-headed theories and (dancing to) the discordant tunes of others. Now, in 55 short minutes (but who’s counting?) Old Git explores the factors that make us what we are. From the first bemused cell flapping about in the womb to wars, philosophies, Government promises, and notional national identity, Old Git presents an evening of riotous comedy, wit and insight, spiked with the occasional mad song. Jim Bryce is an actor, songwriter, clown, improviser, medit...
