UK Pun Finalist and Writer of one of Dave’s Best Jokes of the Fringe, Roger Swift, returns with his whirlwind roller coaster ride of non-stop corny jokes, puns, one-liners, wordplay, home made props and Powerpoint slides. Expect a shameless wazzock telling silly jokes, going out of his way to be daft. Do NOT expect someone taking himself seriously with slick observational comedy or cutting edge political satire, so groaning is encouraged. It’s love at first sight, but only for Frida. Grab your pals and a pint and come along on Frida’s journey as she tries to win Matt over and learns to navigate the many unwritten rules of university life without dying from alcohol poisoning. A hilariously honest play about being a student, falling in love and finding yourself. (And failing miserably)....

Expelled from Eton is a shockingly funny and wickedly accurate tour of modern Britain's prejudices and hangups. George William Callaghan takes aim at the royal family whom he says should be in porn to raise money for the people they claim to care about. This is Frankie Boyle crossed with Boris Johnson. Vulgarity delivered in a plummy accent is innately hilarious. This chubby apparently bumbling comedian reveals a razor sharp wit to cut any hecklers down to size. The show takes in ethnic stereotypes and turns them on their head. There is plenty of self-deprecating humour. ...

Some people choose their alter ego, as for Mista Lorraine it chose her. Lorraine invites you to see the funny side of being a woman with a deep voice in her standup show Mista Lorraine. Customer services representatives go all out to protect Lorraine from herself even demanding to speak to the ‘real’ Lorraine. Accusations of being a fraud and being denied access to certain services are just some of the situations Lorraine faces daily when conducting business over the phone. She has been brought to tears but now it's time to laugh about it. Even a call to emergency services is not as straig...

Shawn Jay is a wandering vagabond philosopher, whom the meaning of life has passed by (if it were ever there in the first place). An acerbic wit who analyses the absurdity of life by pedantically dismantling song lyrics, debunking motivational quotes, and getting the audience to share their gripes, before coming to a very surprising conclusion... A show for the thinkers. Prepare. Mentally. “A brilliant surrealist. Laugh-out loud humour. Surreal, poignant, inspired” - The International Times ...

A comedy show for those who are sick of the mainstream. Forget Trump gags, Tinder references or cheesy punchlines. At Well, That Was Weird... we are celebrating an eclectic showcase of the Fringe's most alternative acts, performing inventive comedy deemed too bizarre for normal shows. There will be improv, music, theatre, spoken word, stand-up, and some stuff so out there you won't even know what to call it, all under the absurd umbrella of comedy. Some recent performers include naked cream-cake opera, LOLbot the robot comedian, a homicidal TED talk, a comedian heckling himself and darth va...
