Inspired by the writer’s real experience working in the tech industry, the show follows Kayla, an ambitious young professional trying to succeed in Silicon Valley’s fast-moving corporate ecosystem. At first it feels like the dream job: exciting projects, impressive titles, and the chance to help shape the future. But as Kayla climbs higher, the environment around her becomes increasingly absurd.

Meetings multiply. Buzzwords flourish. Everyone is “circling back,” “leveraging synergies,” and “putting a pin in it.” Corporate values are posted everywhere while nobody quite knows what they mean. Meanwhile, the tech world’s billionaire personalities loom large over it all like modern corporate mythology.

Through sharp humor, ensemble scenes, and original songs, Linked-Out pokes fun at hustle culture, startup hype, and the strange realities of life inside the tech machine.

Eventually Kayla begins to question the path she’s been following. In a moment of clarity—and rebellion—she decides to step away from the corporate ladder, move abroad, and process the entire experience by writing a musical about it.
