Grandad & I Do Stand-Up Comedy

‘Grandad & I Do Stand-Up Comedy’ is a genuinely unique, laugh-out-loud hour from real-life grandad–grandson comedy duo Andy Zapp and Anthony Heston*.

Two generations. Two perspectives. One brilliantly funny family.

Part double act, part split-bill, this show mixes sharp stand-up, warm storytelling and original duo material as they compare notes on life, ageing, and everything in between — with the kind of chemistry you can’t fake (because you can’t choose your family).

Andy Zapp is a Fringe veteran with two acclaimed solo hours under his belt and a regular at top London clubs (Top Secret, Backyard, Camden Comedy Club, Downstairs at The King’s Head).

“The funniest act I saw at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024” – Adam Bloom

“Glorious old-school laughs, all natural, joie de vivre, utterly adorable” – The Scotsman

Anthony Heston is a So You Think You’re Funny 2025 semi-finalist, has appeared on BBC Radio, and is the creator of Comedy Through The Ages (PBH Free Fringe). He’s currently touring the Australian comedy festival circuit with sell-out shows.

Warm, sharp, and packed with big laughs — this is a one-of-a-kind comedy hour about family, life, and the generation gap.

*Why different surnames? As Andy puts it: “My daughter married an idiot.”
