Eat Pray Cult

Eat Pray Cult is Amy Brown Carver’s stand up comedy show about leaving a traditional marriage and joining a cult. Well, not a cult exactly. It’s a group of 85 people living in the California desert as part of a seasonal, off-grid, techo-futurist protopia and decentralized intentional community. Her show is about so-called self-sufficiency, cosplaying the apocalypse, and not paying rent. It’s about druggies, hippies, tech bros. A preponderance of DJs. It’s about joining a cult, minus the weird sex, death, and sense-of-purpose stuff.

Eat Pray Cult is about what makes people stay and why they walk away. It’s about trying to build a better society (and then a better better society) and learning about why society runs the way it does in the first place. It’s about hitting rock bottom and then pitching a tent.

This year we have two entry methods: Free & Unticketed or Pay What You Can
Free & Unticketed: Entry to a show is first-come, first served at the venue - just turn up and then donate to the show in the collection at the end.
Pay What You Can: For these shows you can book a ticket to guarantee entry and choose your price from the Fringe Box Office, up to 30 mins before a show. After that all remaining space is free at the venue on a first-come, first-served bases. Donations for walk-ins at the end of the show.
