Chips, Cheese & Curry – A comedy show spicier than anything you can find in the UK.
Three years ago, I was just a guy in the audience at the Fringe, watching Daniel Sloss, thinking, “One day, that’ll be me.” Now, here I am—still wondering, but with a microphone and a slightly concerning amount of confidence. Growing up in a small town in India, stand-up comedy wasn’t exactly seen as a “real job.” Moving to Glasgow didn’t help much either—especially when I accidentally joined an Orange Walk (I thought it was a charity run... IT WAS NOT).
This show is about finding humour in life’s messiest moments, whether it’s navigating cultural clashes, living with a stammer, or discovering that Scots speak faster than my brain can process. I also share deeply personal stories, like my mum’s battle with cancer, and how even in the toughest times, we found laughter. It’s a show about resilience, belonging, and how saying "yes" to life (without reading the Terms and Conditions) leads to the best stories.
I’ve been called “one to watch” by The Stand Comedy Club (which sounds sexy), and now I’m bringing my debut hour to the Fringe. Come for the laughs, stay for the life lessons (just don’t expect any to be useful).
