Silly and Starving

Ever wondered what it’s like to be poor, queer and thriving? In Silly & Starving, rising star Kie Carson takes you through just that as he tells you that sillies just don’t pay the billies.

Silly & Starving is the story of Kie Carson, and his ridiculous thoughts and observations through a queer, working class perspective. Filled with ludicrous improvisations and crowd work that makes the room feel like a party, this show is about exposing the silly side of everyone, in spite of whatever troubles or woes they may be facing.

Kie is “extremely likable” (Nodding Dog Comedy), with “original and intelligent material” (Funhouse Comedy) delivered with “infectious charm” (Stage Fright Comedy).

His material about being Queer has been described as “thought provoking” (Mint Comedy Club) at the same time as being a “cheeky character that kept the audience howling” (Toft House Comedy Club) combined with a “great energy and presence” (XS Malarkey).

The Stand in Newcastle described him as a “favourite of the night”, citing his “natural ease and enthusiasm”.

If you’re looking for a show filled with outrageous laughter, queer thoughts that tickle the brain or just looking to pity a silly, starving boy, this is the perfect show for you.
