Stand-Up Science

Love science? Love comedy? Want to laugh and feel smart? Come to Stand-up Science, a compilation of the best scientific comedians the Fringe has to offer. Returning for a third year following successful runs in 2022 and 2023, this show is guaranteed to make you laugh and learn. Following on from successful sell-out shows about nature, bacteria, evolution and insects at the Oxford Natural History museum, Oxford''s finest academic comedians bring Stand-up Science back to the Edinburgh Fringe. "Genuinely laugh-out-loud funny, genuinely interesting, genuinely original." (Daily Info, Oxford). Each show will have a line-up of excellent science-themed comedy from across the Fringe. From biochemistry to physics, chemistry to medicine, and archaeology to artificial intelligence, everything will be covered in this month''s syllabus.

Matt Hobs returns as host. Matt Hobs has performed three well received Edinburgh solo shows: "Matt Hobs: Moontalker" (2023), ''Matt Hobs: Follow the Science'' (2022), and ''Matt Hobs BSc (Bristolian of Science)'' (2019) ("Hobs'' explanations are equal to that of the best lecturers, and undoubtedly funnier... a very likeable leading comic with a talent for multimedia comedy.", The Wee Review).
