The Newcastle Revue: Tyne and Tyne Again

Newcastle Comedy Society have been hard at work getting their show together, and have come agonisingly close to succeeding. They really want to improve the Fringe, and have decided the one thing it’s really lacking is student comedy. They’ve tried to get this Revue show to stand out from the rest though, and they reckon they’ve done it by making it, get this, funny.

Ruled with an iron fist by the domineering Promoter, watch these poor, starving comedians try to fill an hour with an eclectic mix of sketch and stand-up. Life, death and art are just some of the things they won’t be covering. Can they do it? Or will the wrath of the Promoter get the better of them?

From the society that has produced writers including a Philip Richardson Comedy Award winner, two Chortle Student Comedy Award semi-finalists and two comedians seen on Dave, all with a reputation for “hilarity and originality” (The Courier).

This year we have two entry methods: Free & Unticketed or Pay What You Can
Free & Unticketed: Entry to a show is first-come, first served at the venue - just turn up and then donate to the show in the collection at the end.
Pay What You Can: For these shows you can book a ticket to guarantee entry and choose your price from the Fringe Box Office, up to 30 mins before a show. After that all remaining space is free at the venue on a first-come, first-served bases. Donations for walk-ins at the end of the show.
