The Two Moronnies - Brexed Off

Fifty minutes of sophisticated word play as The Two Moronnies lampoon the lampoonable in their unique, energetic musical style. “Special guests” could include Donald Trump, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Jeremy Corbyn, Nicola Sturgeon, the odd royal and any other public figure that’s fallen foul of foot in mouth syndrome.

Expect laconic wit and word play, with topical new lyrics set to old favourites in a repertoire that includes tunes from Flotsam and Jetsam, Flanders and Swann, Boney M, Gilbert and Sullivan, Kurt Weill, Madness, Abba, Queen, Red Clay Ramblers, Carter Family and many others. Light relief will be provided with a few bluegrass numbers and plain old comedy songs and bring your singing voice with you as there will be plenty of opportunities to let yourself go.

Critics describe the act as having “a kind of charm” together with “real pace and energy” that is just like "Have I Got News For You set to music". And the inventive use of costumes and some slick choreography means that the music is left to speak for itself, which it invariably does.

Suitable for all ages and senses of humour.
