AROUND THE WORLD IN 60 MINUTES

AROUND THE WORLD IN 60 MINUTES - TRAVEL THE WORLD IN VERSE. The Cheapest, Quickest and Funniest Round the World Trip You'll Ever Make! Having never travelled beyond Europe and having married and raised a family of 4 children, I was now alone, free and with a small inheritance and my ambition was to visit EVERY CONTINENT, Arctic and Antarctic included. As I journeyed, I wrote poems about my experiences - pithy, comical, thought-provoking, joyful. I invite you to share my travels through my verses. EXAMPLE 1: Short poem from the Arctic: Solstice Superlatives: "Longest day, shortest night, No darkness, constant light, Gentlest waves, calmest sea, Fulmar gliding, silently, In the north, midnight sun, Arctic summer, has begun." EXAMPLE 2: Humorous poem from Egypt: "Dressed up in Egyptian robe, Ready for the dinner, I feel like Goddess Isis, Though I think that she was thinner. And she was dark and beautiful, Whilst I am fair with glasses, And I am here all on my own, Whilst she had King Osiris. Still, tonight's a party night, And I've travelled down the Nile, So I'll pretend I'm really her, And celebrate in Style!
