Situated on the bustling city centre street, at the foot of Edinburgh Castle sandwiched between the stylish West End district and the ever popular Bruntsfield. Moriarty's is located on Lothian Road, close to the Traverse theatre, Usher Hall and Lyceum Theatre. It's a short walk from the Grassmarket, and numerous city bars in this area of Edinburgh where people go for a night out.  As well as this, people travelling back into town from the Fringe's Circus venues all go past the front door.  As a new venue in 2015, this venue proved to be very popular for audiences.

It is a friendly local bar, and the performance spaces in the basement of the venue. The venue itself has been refurbished in 2014, and is a welcome new Edinburgh and Fringe venue.

Performance Space: Cellar


 - Approx 2m (wide) by 2m (deep), with small backstage area.

 - Capacity is 50 seated, plus a little standing room. Seating can be set theatre style or with small table cabaret style reducing the capacity a little.  

 - =1xPar Cans to Light the stage.

 - The room is supplied with a 4 channel mixer. The room has connection for an MP3 player, 2xMicrophones and 2xMic stands. Any additional sound equipment can be supplied by performing companies and stored at the venue.

 There is no screen in the room, but is suitable for your own AV equiptment.

 - There is a very small area for equipment at the venue for props and equipment, shared with other groups.

 - There is a bar in the room that is closed through the Fringe.
