Abbie Murphy: Garage Girl (WIP)

Run, come, gather round!

A love letter to UK Garage and the iconic tunes that defined a generation. 'Garage Girl' is for anyone who lived it, loved it, or found it through its revival — all while asking: Was life really better then, or were we just young?

Finalist of Not So New Comedian of the Year 2025, Abbie Murphy returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with her sixth offering — a fresh, work-in-progress show packed with nostalgia, humour, and heart.

Described by Deadline News as “nothing short of excellent” and named “One to watch” by The List, Murphy continues to cement her reputation as a rising comedic force.

As LondonTheatre1 puts it:

"This is what a real Essex lady is like – the accent is strong, but so is the perception, charisma, and confidence."

TV credits include: Cheaters (S2, BBC), Changing Ends (S2, ITV), and Breeders (S4, Hulu/Sky).

Film appearances: David Brent: Life on the Road and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu.

This year we have two entry methods: Free & Unticketed or Pay What You Can
