Wiki with a Wengeance: Isles of Silly

The new episode in Wiki’s Insular Knowledge series – part comedy, part edutainment, part love letter to the world at large and islands in particular.

How do we make sense of our silly world? That’s right – mapping and naming every pebble we discover! Whether you’re an old-timey, seafaring explorer, or a modern-day, geography-loving Wiki, this is the way to go about it.

Much like the explorers and mapmakers before her, Wiki committed her life to setting out and naming weird specks of land, thoughts, and wonder. Yet where those brave souls before her went about with grim determination and an embarrassment of seriousness, for Wiki, the only way forward is with sheer delight in trivial knowledge and an abundance of silliness. Time for Wiki’s Wengeance.

Enter: The Isles of Silly. No, not those specks of land off the coast of Cornwall (lovely as they are), but the obscure (is)lands, near and far away, named after emotions, yoga poses, or the Beatles. True story!

A seriously playful storytelling journey for every inquisitive soul, smart Alec, and yarn spinner. A (literally) universal show with a personal twist. A glimpse into the weird mind (map) of Wiki. Random islands of knowledge finally make sense. Or do they?

Learn new things about the world you’re living in, and get answers to questions you didn’t even have. All to be taken with a grain of salt – or a wink of the eye.

Suitable for all ages (no adult themes/obscenities), suggested for audiences 12+

Running time: 50 minutes.
