Peter Jones - Cannot Fail

I’m Australian, but I live over here now. I’ve performed stand-up on the TV series Comedy Up Late (it’s on the ABC in Australia), I also appeared on the Netflix series Why Are You Like This? (I do not have many lines, but I assure you I am in it), I wrote for a few TV shows in Australia that you won’t know but paid me money to write jokes. Since moving to the UK I’ve won the 2023 Beat the Frog World Series (screened on NextUp), oh and before leaving Australia I was named the Kings of Comedy Comedian of the Year for 2022, which was pretty nice. What else?

The show? It’ll be forty-five minute work-in-progress show featuring me talking and you laughing, and I’m going to get a friend of mine in to open the show. My friend will also be a comedian. I’m not going to rope in some accountant friend of mine to talk to you all for ten minutes before I then start chatting to you about pigeons or anxiety or whatever I’m banging on about these days.

Look, bottom line, I think it’ll be a great show. Plus, it’s free, which, that’s the best number.

If you’re not convinced here are some nice things some people who wrote reviews said about me:

”His comedy game is hitting all sorts of ridiculous high notes at the moment.” - Pedestrian.tv

“Jones packs jokes within jokes.” – Funny Tonne

“[His] dry, self-deprecating jokes are deftly crafted.” - Chortle

“Hugely and uniquely funny.” – Web Wombat

Pretty good. Also, how funny is it that one of my quotes is from a website called Web Wombat? And I have to keep putting that name in show descriptions because the quote is good. I have to be like, see, I’m good at comedy, Web Wombat said so.
