Jamie Allerton Goes To The Movies

Jamie loves movies. But do the movies love Jamie? In this stand-up comedy show the host of The Best Movie 2 Podcast will explore the tropes and misinformation that cinema has peppered all of our lives with, such as should divorced parents be getting back together during this hurricane?

If you've ever been angry at people talking in the cinema, or you know what they call a quarter pounder in France, this is the perfect show to help you vent your frustrations. We take a light hearted look at what the movies have taught us, and if maybe they're teaching us the wrong thing (We're looking at you, The Goonies, no you should not throw your inhaler away if you want to kiss someone, that's not how asthma works)

Jamie Allerton is a Liverpool Echo New Comedian Finalist and So You Think You're Funny Finalist, and has provided tour support for the likes of Ed Gamble and Eshaan Akbar.

“Where the other stand up sets held the stage, he owned it. A flurry of energy with a clever routine” – Broadway Baby

"Quick-witted, with an ease on stage that makes him one of the best" - Eshaan Akbar (QI, Live At The Apollo)
