Rachel Morton-Young: Organised Chaos

Organised Chaos

Life and Laughter as a Brit Abroad

Raising kids is tough; add to the mix puberty, cultural differences and a complicated language, topped with questionable organisational skills and the comedy show writes itself!

In her show, award-winning comedian Rachel Morton-Young paints a picture of her life as an expat, living in a country with the least sexy language, accepting random customs and traditions and navigating a sometimes-unique approach to raising teenage children in the most tolerant and liberal country in the world.

About Rachel:

Rachel Morton-Young is an energetic British comedian, living in Utrecht, the Netherlands, who was awarded Best Stand-up by the worldwidecomedyawards.com in 2021. As a scatty Mum of two and a skilled chatterbox who thrives on organised chaos, her life is a constant source of inspiration for the comedy she writes and performs.

Rachel is the owner of Mad Cow Comedy and regularly organises and hosts International Comedy Showcases in major Dutch cities. She frequently performs on the English-speaking circuit at comedy nights all over the Netherlands. She has played at several comedy festivals, including the Nottingham Fringe (2021), Women in Comedy (Manchester, 2021) and, most recently, at the Edinburgh Fringe (2022) in a witty and relatable show about parenting, “Not Angry, Just Disappointed!”

“She struck a rich chord when speaking about her children. Rachel Morton-Young was full of beans and her energy seemed to fill the entire room.”
