Finnegan's Wake is
well known for it's music and Irish sports on TV. It is a large,
central and popular bar with a small room at the back where
Fringe performances take place during the day until 7pm. (The
bands start at 7.30pm meaning that performances cannot take

exceptionally well located and is nearly next door to our venue,
it's also moments from the Royal Mile and Grassmarket
The back room is located on the same
floor as the main bar, and is an intimate room which is fully
wheelchair accessible, in a venue with full facilities for
Performance Space: The Back Room
2m (wide) by 1m (deep) stage, recessed into back of room. Raised
to 3 inches. No wing space - exit to public toilets foyer area can be
used as a back stage or for stage entrance (no entry to room for
audience via this route).
Capacity is 35 seated, plus standing room for 5-10.
2xFixed Light to Flood light the stage. Additional Lighting can
be supplied by companies and fixed as required.
The room is supplied with a 2 channel mixer (2xJack,
2xPhono/jack Inputs). The room has connection for an MP3 player, 2xMicrophones
and 2xMic stands. Any additional sound equipment can be supplied
by performing companies and stored at the venue.
is a LCD screen fixed at the back of the stage area that can
be used. Sight lines are good in this space for video etc.
There is a very small area for equipment at the venue for props
and equipment, shared with other groups.
There is no bar in the room but is adjacent to the main bar
separated by a wall and doors.
