Doris Day is one of the most loved singers and actresses of the 1950s and 60s. Over her career she appeared in thirty nine films, released twenty nine studio albums and starred in her own television show.

Join Sarah Laing for a show of songs and stories from this icon. ‘Sarah Laing Sings the Music of Doris Day’ follows Day’s career from its beginnings singing with big bands through to songs from a selection of her most famous films. Songs include Sentimental Journey, Deadwood Stage, Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps and Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will Be Will Be). The show is suitable for all ages and there are even chances to sing along if you want to!

Sarah Laing is a singer from Edinburgh who created and performs the show. In 2015 she performed the show at both the Big Burns Supper Festival in Dumfries and at the Edinburgh Free Festival. Previous comments about the show and Sarah:
• “Full of classic songs performed by a great wee singer”
• “A highly polished act that beautifully couples a selection of Doris Day's songs with background on her life and career”
• “A lovely trip down memory lane”
• “A wonderful performance by a very talented lady. The usual Doris Day songs were mixed with songs I didn't even know she had recorded.”
