The West End's resident improv troupe The Wimps Show bring their trademark fast paced hilarious musical improvised comedy to Edinburgh Fringe 2016 - for free!

The team behind The Wimps Show graduated from the Edinburgh Fringe’s longest-running improvised comedy show The Improverts. Created in association with acclaimed musical comedy company Beach Comet, the team have been performing hilarious family friendly musical improvised comedy fortnightly in the heart of the West End since January 2016.

About the show:

The show consists of games, sketches and songs made up on the spot and based entirely on audience suggestions. The games played are a mix of timeless classics such as those seen in ‘Whose Line is Anyway’ and new original games invented by the team. To top it off each show finishes with an entirely improvised musical involving the whole cast.

Each musical game draw on the players ability to invent hilarious lyrics on the spot and is accompanied on midi keyboard by musical comedian Theo McCabe (Exceptionally talented – Broadway Baby) - who utilizes a vast array of sounds to instantly mimic almost any audience suggested genre.

The cast includes many comedians, writers and actors who are successful in their own right including Craig Methven (www.backoftheattic.co.uk), writer of Ghost Cop and Loch Ness Monster Hunter and Fringe Favorite musical comedian David Elms (www.davidelms.net) "Beautiful, funny, clever and utterly engaging" - The Scotsman

The Company:

Beach Comet have been creating successful comedy and theatre shows at Edinburgh fringe and in London since 2012. The company formed while creating hit musical Vampire Hospital Waiting Room in 2012 – which had an initial production at Bedlam Theatre followed by a preview tour to the Hen and Chickens in London and culminating with a 10 night run (including 7 nights with the Laughing Horse) at the Edinburgh Fringe 2013.

In 2015 they stormed Edinburgh Fringe with an updated, improved production of Vampire Hospital Waiting Room which saw huge queues running out of the door and packed houses in their 250+ seater venue The Sin Club. The show’s success at fringe 2015 led to a transfer to Off West-End venue Above the Arts for a successful two week run in which they received a host of 5 and 4 star reviews and coverage from many publications including the Evening Standard.
