A cosy downstairs room, new to the Fringe in 2015 and very busy all day. Not far from the main Fringe areas of the Cowgate and Grassmarket, and some of Edinburgh's main theatres off of Lothian Road, it's and also at the heart of city bars and going out - the venue is used by locals, people on a night out and Fringe-goers alike, and the shows have a huge amount of support from the bars owners and staff
Types of Performances possible at Moriarty's
Moriarty's is located on Lothian Road, close to
the Traverse theatre, Usher Hall and Lyceum Theatre. It's a
short walk from the Grassmarket, and numerous city bars in this
area of Edinburgh where people go for a night out. As well
as this, people travelling back into town from the Fringe's
Circus venues all go past the front door. As a new venue
in 2015, this venue proved to be very popular for audiences.
It is a friendly local bar, and the performance
spaces in the basement of the venue. The venue itself has been
refurbished in 2014, and is a welcome new Edinburgh and Fringe
Approx 2m (wide) by 2m (deep), with small backstage area.
Capacity is 50 seated, plus a little standing room. Seating can
be set theatre style or with small table cabaret style reducing
the capacity a little.

The room is supplied with a 4 channel mixer. The room has connection for an MP3 player, 2xMicrophones
and 2xMic stands. Any additional sound equipment can be supplied
by performing companies and stored at the venue.

is no screen in the room, but is suitable for your own AV
There is a very small area for equipment at the venue for props
and equipment, shared with other groups.
There is a bar in the room that is closed through the Fringe.
