The Hanover Tap Fringe Venue 259   Bar Food WiFi
112 Hanover Street. 0131 225 2022
Age Restrictions: 18+ only
A Free Festival venue since 2006, The Jekyll is decorated in a gothic style with skeletons and other macabre items 'hanging around' the walls, making it a truly original and atmospheric venue well loved by performers. Located on Hanover Street in the New town, the Jekyll is moments away from the Assembly Rooms and just off of Princes Street, Princes Street Gardens and the Mound.
Types of Performances possible at The Hanover Tap
Comedy Theatre Events and Tours Music Musicals and Opera Cabaret Spoken Word

The main bar of the Hanover Tap has been completely refurbished in 2016 (this venue used to be called the Jekyll & Hyde). The main bar serves meals and snacks all day, plus a variety of beer, wines, spirits and horror-themed cocktails

Over the past years this venue has become one of the places that is a favourite of performers, and it is the longest continuously running free venue. The Wee Tap space is not a traditional Fringe room (rectangle with a stage area at the end), but it has a unique cosy atmospheric that particularly suits comedians and had two audience spaces either side of a central bar that remains closed during the shows.
